Privacy Policy
What personal information I collect, why I need it, who I share it with, and your rights. The short version: I only collect what I need to run your training, I never sell your data, and you can ask to see, correct or delete it at any time.
1Who I am
Junior Trains Dogs is run by me, Junior Pswarai, a sole trader based in West Yorkshire, England. I'm the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. That means I decide how it's used and I'm responsible for looking after it. I'm registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
In this policy, "I", "me" and "my" mean Junior Pswarai trading as Junior Trains Dogs. "You" means anyone who uses this website or my services.

2What I collect
I only collect what I need to work with you and your dog safely and well. Depending on how you use my services, that can include:
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and home address (sessions start at your home).
- Your application and intake forms: information about your dog, such as age, breed, size, behaviour and history (including any biting, aggression or reactivity), health or skin issues that could affect training, your home and routine, and whether you have a garden.
- Booking and payment details: your session date, deposit and balance payments, and any take-home kit you buy. Payments are handled by Calendly and PayPal. I never see or store your full card details.
- Agreements: your signed Client Agreement and, if you choose to sign it, your Filming Consent.
- Photos and video from your session (see section 6).
- Feedback and reviews: your answers to my feedback form, and any review or testimonial you choose to give.
- Messages: emails and anything else you send me.
- Marketing preferences: whether you've agreed to marketing emails.
- Website and email data: how you use this website, collected through cookies (see section 8), and whether my emails are opened or clicked.
3How I use it, and my legal basis
UK data protection law says I need a lawful reason (a "legal basis") for each way I use your information. Here's what I use it for and why.

I don't use your information to make automated decisions about you. Every application is read and decided by me.
4Marketing emails
When you apply, you can tick a box to say you're happy to receive marketing emails. If you don't tick it, or you opt out later, I mark your record so you only receive emails about your booking and session.
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email me at any time and I'll stop.
6Photos and video
During the Leash Manners Intensive I film the Assessment Walk at the start of the day and the Result Walk at the end. This footage is part of your training record. It stays private unless you sign the optional Filming Consent.
If you do sign it, I may use photos and video from your session on my website, social media and YouTube. You can ask me not to show your face or your home, and I'll never show anything that identifies your address. You can withdraw your consent for future use at any time by emailing me. Withdrawing doesn't mean I have to remove content that's already been published.
7International transfers
Some of the services I use, including Systeme.io, Jotform, Zapier, Calendly, PayPal, Google and Microsoft, may store or process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, they use recognised safeguards, such as the UK's approved contract clauses or the UK-US data bridge, to keep your information protected to UK standards.
9How long I keep it
I keep your information only for as long as I need it:

When I no longer need information, I delete it securely or make it anonymous.
10Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information I hold about you.
- Ask me to correct anything that's wrong or incomplete.
- Ask me to delete your information.
- Ask me to limit how I use it, or object to me using it.
- Ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where consent is my legal basis.
- Complain to the ICO (see section 14).
To use any of these rights, email junior@juniortrainsdogs.com. I'll reply within one month. Some rights have limits. For example, I have to keep tax records for a set time even if you ask me to delete them. If that applies, I'll explain why.
11Keeping it safe
I use reputable services with their own security, protect my accounts with strong passwords, and only keep the information I need.
12Children
My services are for adults aged 18 or over. I don't knowingly collect information from children.
13Changes to this policy
I'll update this policy when the way I work changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated, and the latest version is always on this page.
